Jono
Jono is a hip-hop artist and producer based out of Moncton, New-Brunswick. In 2021, he performed at Pop Montreal and Music NB’s Festival 506. Building on this momentum, he released his project “Party Chenous'' on April 20th, 2022, where he split production duties with BBZ Darney from Sweden. BBZ’s dusty boom-bap collides with Jono’s grime & trap sounds, while Metaphyzik holds it down on the turntables. Bridging the gap between hip-hop’s different eras, they bring us sounds from the past, present and future.
The Music NB nominated album transports us to an atypical Acadian house party, where hard work meets the pleasures and excitement of the weekend.
Metaphyzik
From Moncton, New Brunswick, Metaphyzik is first and foremost an avid music & record collector of all genres. Diggin' in the crates in search of classics or rare oddities, his style ranges from groovy soul jams to funky breakbeats, where all roads lead to the Boom Bap avenue of Hip-Hop.
Throughout the years Metaphyzik has established himself as a pillar of the international underground Hip-Hop community, the backbone for many rappers & MCs, most recently with life-long friend and collaborator Jono.
